A special dawn-photoshoot in Venice for a family
SUNRISE OR SUNSET in Venice?
If you’re planning a photo shoot in Venice, you might be wondering whether to go for a sunrise or a sunset session. Both have their advantages, but here’s why I believe that sunrise is the way to go.

First of all, let’s talk about the atmosphere. Venice is a beautiful city, but it can get crowded with tourists during the day. The best way to avoid the crowds and get some amazing shots is to wake up early and start your session at dawn. The soft light of the morning sun creates a magical atmosphere that you won’t find anywhere else. The streets are empty, and you have the whole city to yourselves.

As a Venice photographer, I always recommend sunrise photo sessions because it allows us to capture the city in its most peaceful state. We can walk around the city and find the best locations without worrying about people walking into the frame. You can pose in front of the iconic gondolas, the narrow streets, or in front of the stunning architecture. The possibilities are endless.

Sunrise also makes it easier to work with little children. The streets are not busy, so they can run around and have fun without getting lost or running into strangers.
On the other hand, if you’re a couple or solo traveler who loves to sleep in, a sunset session might be a better choice. You can explore the city during the day and then start your session in the late afternoon. However, keep in mind that the streets can be busy during this time and finding a good location might be a bit harder.

At sunset, you can capture the golden hour light and the warm colors of the city. The sky turns into a beautiful orange and pink hue, creating a romantic and dreamy atmosphere.

In conclusion, it all depends on what you’re looking for. If you want to capture the city in its most peaceful state, then sunrise is the way to go. If you want to capture the golden hour light, then a sunset session might be a better choice.
